1. Service Booking Cancellation
Customers may cancel an eligible service booking before the scheduled service time.
Cancellation charges will be calculated based on the scheduled appointment start time and the time at which the cancellation request is submitted.
More Than 24 Hours Before Appointment
If a booking is cancelled more than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment:
- Cancellation Charge: 15% of the applicable upfront/paid booking amount
- Refund: Remaining eligible amount after deduction of the cancellation charge
Between 12 and 24 Hours Before Appointment
If a booking is cancelled between 12 and 24 hours before the scheduled appointment:
- The applicable cancellation charge will be based on the cancellation rule configured on the platform.
- The applicable charge will be displayed to the customer before cancellation is confirmed.
- The remaining eligible amount will be refunded after deduction of the applicable cancellation charge.
Within 12 Hours of Appointment
If a booking is cancelled within 12 hours of the scheduled appointment:
- Cancellation Charge: 25% (plus GST) of the applicable upfront/paid booking amount
- Refund: Remaining eligible amount after deduction of the cancellation charge
At or After Appointment Time / No-Show
If the customer does not attend the scheduled appointment and the applicable grace period has expired:
- The booking may be treated as a No-Show.
- Up to 100% of the applicable upfront/paid booking amount may become non-refundable.
- No refund will be applicable for an amount treated as a no-show charge.
2. Grace Period and No-Show
A grace period may be provided after the scheduled appointment time.
The platform is currently designed around a 15-minute recommended grace period, subject to the service/provider rules displayed at booking.
If the customer does not arrive or make themselves available within the applicable grace period, the service provider may mark the booking as a No-Show.
Where the applicable booking rules permit, the customer may be provided a one-time rebooking/rescheduling opportunity within 12 hours, subject to provider availability.
If the booking is not rescheduled within the applicable period, the booking may be treated according to the no-show cancellation rules.
3. Rescheduling
Eligible service bookings may be rescheduled once, subject to service-provider availability and applicable booking conditions.
Rescheduling itself does not result in an immediate refund.
Once a booking is successfully rescheduled:
- The updated appointment date and time will become the active booking schedule.
- Future cancellation calculations will be based on the valid/current appointment time.
- The previous appointment time will no longer be used for cancellation calculation.
A request to reschedule does not guarantee that the requested new time slot will be available.
4. Vendor / Service Provider Cancellation
If a confirmed booking is cancelled by the service provider, or the service provider is unable to provide the confirmed service for reasons attributable to the provider:
- The customer will generally be eligible for a full refund of the eligible paid amount.
- The corresponding service-provider settlement for that booking will not be released where applicable.
- Alternatively, the customer may be offered rescheduling where mutually accepted.
This does not affect any additional rights available to the customer under applicable law.
5. Multi-Service Orders
A single order may contain one or more services.
Where multiple services are included in an order, individual services may be tracked separately for completion, cancellation, or non-fulfilment.
If one service cannot be provided while the remaining services are completed, the cancellation or refund calculation may apply only to the affected service, subject to the applicable booking rules.
Charges for services already completed will not ordinarily be refundable.
6. Package Bookings
Bharat Need may allow customers to purchase service packages containing a fixed number of visits or service entitlements.
For example, if a package contains 10 visits and 5 visits have already been used:
- The 5 completed visits will remain recorded as consumed.
- Only the remaining unused package entitlement will be considered during an eligible package cancellation.
- Completed services cannot be reversed or treated as unused.
Package validity, purchased visit count, pricing, and applicable conditions will be recorded according to the package details applicable at the time of purchase.
7. Package Cancellation
Package cancellation rules differ from individual service booking cancellations.
Cancellation Before 7 Days
Where an eligible package cancellation is requested before completion of the applicable 7-day period:
- The applicable cancellation charge configured for the package will be deducted.
- Completed/used services, if any, will also be accounted for.
- The remaining eligible package amount may be refunded.
Cancellation On or After 7 Days
For a package cancellation requested on or after the applicable 7-day period:
- Completed service/visit value will first be calculated.
- The applicable package cancellation charge will be deducted.
- Any other applicable settled or adjusted amount will be accounted for.
- Only the remaining eligible amount, if any, will be refundable.
The exact cancellation amount will depend on the package purchased, services already consumed, and applicable package conditions.
8. Package Cancellation Confirmation
Where package cancellation requires manual settlement between the customer and service provider:
- The service provider will enter the applicable refund/cancellation details.
- The customer may receive an OTP or other confirmation request.
- The customer must confirm the applicable cancellation/refund details.
- After confirmation, the package will be updated accordingly.
- Remaining eligible visits will be cancelled where the complete package is being terminated.
This process is intended to ensure that package cancellation details are acknowledged by both parties.
9. Package No-Show
Individual package visits may also be subject to the applicable grace-period and no-show rules.
If a customer does not attend a booked package visit:
- The applicable grace period will first apply.
- Where permitted, the customer may receive the applicable one-time rebooking opportunity.
- If the matter is not resolved within the permitted period, the relevant service/visit may be treated as consumed or an applicable charge may be deducted according to the package rules.
Repeated unresolved dues or charges may restrict further package bookings until the applicable amount is resolved.
10. Expired Packages
Package validity will be communicated at the time of purchase.
Once a package expires:
- Unused visits may become unavailable.
- Expired unused benefits or amounts will generally be non-refundable, subject to applicable law and the specific package terms presented at purchase.
11. Refund Method
Where an eligible refund relates to an online payment:
- The refund will generally be initiated back through the applicable original payment method/payment channel.
- Actual credit timelines may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card network, UPI provider, or other financial institution involved.
Where a booking has been paid using an eligible Bharat Need wallet credit, the applicable refundable wallet amount may be returned to the relevant wallet in accordance with the platform rules.
Cash amounts that were never collected are not refundable.
12. Refund After Settlement
In certain cases, payment may already have been processed or settled before a cancellation or refund is approved.
Where this occurs:
- The platform may adjust the relevant merchant/service-provider balance or future settlement.
- Applicable refunds will be processed according to the approved cancellation calculation and payment-processing rules.
13. Cancellation Charges
Applicable cancellation charges may be distributed between Bharat Need and the relevant service provider according to the platform's commercial arrangement.
Such internal distribution does not change the cancellation charge or eligible refund amount displayed to the customer.
14. Failed or Duplicate Transactions
If an amount is debited but the booking is not successfully created or confirmed, Bharat Need will verify the transaction with the applicable payment service provider.
Where the transaction is confirmed as failed or eligible for reversal, the amount will be reversed/refunded according to the applicable payment provider's process.
For duplicate payments, the additional successfully captured amount may be refunded after transaction verification.
15. Refund Processing
An approved refund will be initiated after the applicable cancellation/refund request has been validated.
Once the refund has been initiated, the time required for the amount to appear in the customer's account may depend on the bank, payment gateway, card network, UPI provider, or other payment-system participant.
16. Policy Display at Booking
The applicable cancellation, rescheduling, package, and refund terms may be displayed to the customer before booking or payment confirmation.
Where a specific service or package has an applicable condition, the condition presented and accepted at the time of booking/purchase will form part of the applicable transaction terms.
